Rhonda L. Wood is an attorney at Stewart|Phelps|Wood Injury Lawyers in Indianapolis, Indiana. Focusing her practice on medical malpractice, Ms. Wood joined the Stewart|Phelps|Wood Attorneys medical malpractice team in 2010. She primarily represents patients injured while under the care of doctors, hospitals, nurses and nursing homes. Her clients also include veterans who are the victims of medical malpractice at VA hospitals.
Ms. Wood represents clients throughout the Greater Indianapolis Area and the state of Indiana. In addition, she has successfully advocated on behalf of clients in Fort Wayne, Gary and South Bend.
Outside of her practice, Ms. Wood is active in the legal community. She is a member of various professional, legal, and medical organizations, including the Indiana State Bar Association, the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association and the Association of PeriOperative Registered Nurses.
Ms. Wood earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Indianapolis and received her law degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Before becoming a licensed attorney, she worked at OrthoIndy Hospital as an operating room nurse.
After completing her legal studies, Ms. Wood obtained her license to practice law, which qualified her to appear before all Indiana state courts. She is also qualified to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. Her combination of medical knowledge and legal skills provide her with unique insight into her cases and a complete understanding on how to achieve the best possible outcomes.
